The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed about the superior variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office focused on service the area each day. The support level produced for intervention experiences a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and enhance entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
